Talin Yacoubian’s Amicus Brief Aids Czech Republic Supreme Court’s Opinion in International Employment Dispute
Talin Yacoubian was requested by the Czech Republic Supreme Court to file an Amicus Brief in an International Jurisdiction case. The dispute concerned the extraterritorial application of United States employment laws, international comity, and conflict of foreign laws. The Court concluded that US employment laws did not apply and the foreign national was entitled to the protection of the Czech Republic’s local employment laws.
Ms. Yacoubian’s brief, which was translated into Czech, was instrumental in the final decision of this case which had been pending for over 11 years.
